Internship Evidence #4
The past couple weeks at my internship have been fun! I have spent a lot of time working on my main project which is creating finding aids to help individuals who want to learn about Westbrook. This requires both a biographical note (information about the individual/organization the item belongs to) and a scope note (tells what kind of material can be found within the series). Also, I have been working on refolding and organizing photographs. For this, I have to put the photos in new plastic sleeves and then resort and rename the previous folders. This work is tedious but definitely worth it!
Before spring break I also had the opportunity to be interviewed about my internship in front of the board of trustees. During this, I was able to share a bit about the work I doing and what my plans are for the future. After the interview I was able to attend the board of trustees dinner which was a lot of fun. I got to eat really good food, chat with my classmates, and connect with a previous history major who is now a student liaison for the board of trustees!
Below are some photos of some fun things I’ve found while do my write ups and photos from the event!
